Facility: Sun Harbor Position: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Location: Port Charlotte, Florida Shift: Full Time Salary: Up to $38 per hour About the Role: Sun Harbor is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, personalized care that promotes mobility, independence, and overall well‑being for our residents. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans and maintain the highest safety standards. Follow all departmental guidelines, maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. Ensure resident safety during all therapy sessions and activities. Properly use and maintain safety equipment, especially during resident transfers. Comply with all regulatory requirements and therapy best practices. Adhere to infection control protocols to protect residents and staff. Keep therapy areas clean, safe, and welcoming. Report any safety concerns or equipment issues promptly. Use protective gear when necessary to prevent exposure to biohazards. Qualifications: Active, unencumbered Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Florida.
