Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays

Compensation Range: $31.21 - $49.94

Pay Rate Type: Hourly

Job Summary:

This role involves overseeing women's services, managing workflow, and utilizing nursing resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and assess relevant health data to create and implement personalized care plans aimed at achieving measurable outcomes for women and newborns, focusing on family-centered care.
• Coordinate care delivery to ensure a focus on women, newborns, and families, employing health education strategies that promote a safe environment.
• Monitor progress towards expected outcomes within the framework of family-centered care.
• Make ethical decisions and actions on behalf of women, fetuses, and newborns, guided by a solid ethical framework and principles of cultural diversity and inclusion.
• Engage in communication and collaboration with women, families, healthcare providers, and the community to deliver safe and holistic care.
• Act as a role model, change agent, consultant, and mentor for women, families, healthcare consumers, and fellow professionals, maintaining knowledge of current evidence-based practices.
• Utilize evidence to identify, validate, and evaluate various approaches to care for women and newborns, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Assess personal nursing practice and contribute to the evaluation of peers based on current evidence and professional standards.
• Consider resource factors related to safety, effectiveness, and fiscal responsibility when planning care.
• Ensure environmentally safe practices in care delivery for women, newborns, and families.
• Apply evidence-based practices to nursing care, ensuring it meets the specific needs of patients as outlined in departmental guidelines.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety in all activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.

Experience:

• No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Regular verbal communication to convey information.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, reaching, and data entry.
• Regular use of vision for near and far distances, including color differentiation.
• Frequent olfactory recognition.
• Regular auditory communication for receiving information and detecting alarms.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Occasional patient handling.
• Occasional bending, stooping, and repetitive movements.
• Occasional driving.
• Rare crawling and running.

Required Professional Licenses and Certifications:

Location: Missouri

• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
• Or Registered Nurse (RN) from a Compact State
• And one of the following:
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Essentials - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
