Direct Care Worker
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support to clients in Lake Orion, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life in a supportive and respectful environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs as required.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition to supervisors.
- Help with medication reminders and ensure clients follow prescribed treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct care or a related field is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients and team members.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Must pass background checks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
