Position Overview


Ivinson Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Paramedic for a 13-week contract assignment. The selected candidate will provide emergency and direct patient care within the scope of Wyoming paramedic licensure, applicable regulations, and established medical protocols.


Please note: This position is for Paramedics only. EMT candidates will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct emergency patient care within the scope of licensure and established protocols.
• Perform comprehensive, population-specific patient assessments.
• Establish care priorities and provide appropriate emergency treatment.
• Administer emergency medications in accordance with Wyoming state regulations and paramedic scope of practice.
• Accurately document patient assessments and treatments using the WATRS reporting system.
• Maintain ambulances and assigned stations in a clean, stocked, and service-ready condition.
• Assist with patient care in other hospital departments when requested and within the appropriate scope of practice.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Effectively prioritize tasks and manage time, personnel, and available resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Paramedic experience required.
• Current, active Wyoming Paramedic license .
• Paramedic experience is mandatory; EMTs will not be accepted .
• Ability to provide care in accordance with Wyoming state laws, regulations, and established protocols.
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care environment.

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS/BCLS
• PALS
• NRP
• ATT

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Shift: Varies; all shifts may be required.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.
• Overtime: Begins after 40 hours per week.
• Holiday Coverage: Required.
• On-Call: May be required.
• Bilingual: Not required.
