Water Jet OperatorA water jet operator is skilled in utilizing specialized equipment to precisely cut a variety of materials using pressurized streams of water. Their responsibilities include setting up and operating the water jet machine, ensuring maintenance and safety protocols are followed.Responsibilities:Operate water jet cutting machines to produce precision cut parts according to specificationsPerform preventive maintenance and light repairs on the waterjetSet up, adjust, and maintain machinery for optimal performanceInspect finished products for quality control and adjust settings as necessaryPerform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and lubricationCollaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production flowSafely moving rubber product and finished goods, handle large, heavy rubber sheet, plate and parts using proper equipment.Operating a sit-down forklift.Update product volume and quality paperwork.Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all timesRequirements:Experience operating water jet machines beneficialKnowledge of safety procedures related to water jet operationPhysical ability to lift and move heavy materials – up to 100 lbs.Attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in cuttingStrong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise during operationFamiliarity with maintenance and upkeep of water jet machines
