About the Opportunity

FM Exteriors is expanding our sales team across the greater St. Louis and Metro East regions. We specialize in residential roofing, siding, gutters, storm restoration, and exterior home improvements.

Unlike traditional roofing sales roles where you’re pulled into estimating, production issues, and project management after the sale, our Exterior Sales Consultants focus on what they do best: building relationships with homeowners, identifying opportunities, and closing business. Dedicated estimating, project readiness, quality control, and project delivery teams handle the rest so projects move forward cleanly and professionally.

This is a relationship-driven outside sales role with real operational support behind it. You generate and close the work. Our systems and teams help deliver it.

Compensation & Earning Potential

• Annual base salary: $20,000
• Commission: 6–8% of qualifying contract sales (subject to written compensation terms)
• Illustrative earnings: $65,000–$80,000 at $750,000 in qualifying annual sales (assuming full commission eligibility)
• Strong producers can exceed this range based on volume, mix, and performance

Earnings are not guaranteed and depend on sales results. Full commission details are provided in writing during the hiring process.

What You’ll Do

• Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and neighborhood outreach
• Conduct residential roofing, siding, and gutter inspections following company safety and training standards
• Identify storm damage, exterior deficiencies, and home improvement opportunities
• Educate homeowners on insurance restoration and retail exterior solutions
• Present estimates, communicate recommendations, and close sales
• Build lasting homeowner relationships through consistent, professional follow-up
• Maintain accurate customer records, inspection documentation, and activity in JobNimbus CRM
• Collaborate with estimating, project readiness, and project delivery teams for smooth handoffs

What We’re Looking For

Preferred:

• Experience in roofing, storm restoration, exterior remodeling, or outside sales
• Proven ability to prospect, develop leads, and close business
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills

No roofing experience? Motivated candidates with backgrounds in automotive sales, home improvement, construction, or other relationship-driven sales roles are welcome. Industry-specific training and operational guidance are provided.

Requirements:

• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable generating new business
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to conduct residential exterior inspections safely within company guidelines
• Willingness to learn company processes, documentation standards, and CRM procedures
