Clinical - Pharmacist 1

Pharmacist to join a hospital-based pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication use, reviewing prescriptions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders from physicians and healthcare providers
- Ensure accuracy in drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration
- Evaluate patient records including allergies, medical history, lab results, and potential drug interactions
- Safely dispense medications in compliance with hospital protocols
- Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare staff
- Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and students to ensure accuracy and safety
- Collaborate with the healthcare team for patient care planning and discharge processes
- Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
- PharmD (Preferred)
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience OR clinical APPE experience (Preferred)
- License:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License (Required)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Preferred
