Clinical - Pharmacist 1

Pharmacist to join a hospital-based pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective medication use, reviewing prescriptions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders from physicians and healthcare providers
• Ensure accuracy in drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration
• Evaluate patient records including allergies, medical history, lab results, and potential drug interactions
• Safely dispense medications in compliance with hospital protocols
• Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare staff
• Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and students to ensure accuracy and safety
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for patient care planning and discharge processes
• Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
  • PharmD (Preferred)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience OR clinical APPE experience (Preferred)
• License:
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License (Required)
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Preferred
