Sustainment APG, F-16 Mechanic Level 2- 1st Shift

Job Overview Position: Sustainment APG, F‑16 Mechanic Level 2 – First Shift, Lockheed Martin Greenville Sustainment Team. Key Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and modify aircraft systems and powerplants per established written procedures, specifications, and standards. Operate and maintain aircraft systems including landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, rigging, and aircraft movement. Comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Use manual dexterity, reach, and coordination to perform tasks; frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work on or in the aircraft. Frequently lift and/or push or pull up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; perform repetitive movements and overhead work. Work in a safe and efficient manner, maintaining a clean, FOD‑free work area. Properly use, handle, and dispose of hazardous materials, toxic or caustic chemicals per Government regulations and company procedures. Maintain mission essential functions and perform other duties as required. Physical & Vision Requirements Specific vision abilities: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to vibration. Work Schedule & Shift First shift, 40‑hour workweek with optional condensed schedules; on‑site full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Required Qualifications 3 to 8 years of experience on fighter aircraft or other military aircraft with operation of landing gear, flight controls, disassembly, re‑assembly, rigging, powerplant, ground operations, and flight‑line environment. Valid US citizenship; government security clearance required (Secret). Desired Skills F‑16 Crew Chief experience USAF level 5 or higher. Heavy aircraft modification or depot experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, symbols, flags, and general notes. Problem‑solving skills in low‑standardization environments. High school education or equivalent (GED). Security Clearance Position requires a government security clearance; candidate must be US citizen. Clearance Level: Secret.
