You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma. Manage donor adverse events. Review laboratory test results. Notify donors of unsuitable test results. Perform medical support under guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician. Familiarize with regulations of the plasma collection industry or manufacturing environment. Follow guidance from BioLife Medical Affairs and provide center‑level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS). Conduct informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements. Perform physical examination, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including developing Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate program in nursing that meets state requirements. Current license or certification in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Successfully complete FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Location USA, FL – Tampa Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44. The actual wage offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, or licensure, and will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements.
