Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum): $33.980 - $41.630 - $49.260

This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with SEIU.

What You Will Do:

Provides individualized and quality treatments and education to meet each patient's needs based on medical necessity and clinical indication in accordance with the Physical Therapy Practice Act and Title 16 requirements. These services will be provided in settings across the entire continuum of care including inpatient acute care, inpatient acute rehabilitation, and outpatient services. Adheres to professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined by department expectations and professional organizations. Maintains productivity, weekend and holiday requirements as specified. Ongoing professional development and continuing education to promote clinical excellence and evidence-based practice. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Other Graduate of an approved professional school or graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Competent in provision of Physical Therapy modalities, interventions, and procedures.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 Year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Experience with aquatic therapy.

Other Qualification Requirements:

• Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of California. - REQUIRED

Essential Functions:

Provide care in inpatient acute care, inpatient acute rehabilitation, and/or outpatient settings based on patient care and business needs. Meet weekend and holiday requirements based on FTE status. Independently assess all areas relevant to patient function, utilize sound clinical decision making skills, develop a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan, and complete all required documentation in a timely manner. Accurately enters data in Tri-City Medical Centers Electronic Health Record System. Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Provide mentorship as requested (voluntary). Follows organizations rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards while carrying out the mission, vision, and values of Tri-City Health District. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
