Patient Support Assistant - Kellogg Evanston Cancer Center - Days

Pay & Hours Hourly Pay Range: $18.38 - $26.65 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Full Time | 40 hours/week Location and Shift Kellogg Cancer Center – Evanston, IL Shift will vary Monday - Friday, 6:45am - 6pm, no weekends or holidays. Required Travel May float to Glenview/Glenbrook and Highland Park locations based on staffing needs What you will do Answer phones Schedule appointments Collect co-payments Complete patient registration Provide other administrative support to the physician practice Check in and check out patient Verify insurances Greet patients and escort them to exam room Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit Provide front office support as needed Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight Phlebotomy and injections may be required What you need Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience, required. Certification: Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred. Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
