Staff Auditor

Overview Audit Staff Accountant | Public Accounting Responsibilities Assist in planning, executing, and completing audit engagements. Perform fieldwork, including testing internal controls and substantive procedures. Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Prepare detailed working papers and documentation to support audit findings. Contribute to audit reports and provide recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with clients and senior auditors to deliver high-quality service. Stay current on evolving auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry trends. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience of public accounting/audit. CPA eligibility preferred (active pursuit a plus). Strong understanding of auditing principles and practices. Proficiency with CCH Tax Software, RIA Checkpoint, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
