We are looking for a detail-oriented Controller to support document-centered operations for a Contract position based in Ridgewood, New Jersey. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can keep records organized, ensure files are processed accurately, and maintain consistent control over important documentation. The role focuses on handling high-volume scanning and compilation tasks while helping maintain reliable document management standards.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the organization and control of business documents to ensure records are complete, accessible, and properly maintained.
• Scan paper and digital materials with a high level of accuracy, confirming that files are captured clearly and stored in the correct locations.
• Review incoming documentation, sort materials by category, and prepare files for efficient processing and retrieval.
• Compile related records into structured document sets that support operational and compliance needs.
• Maintain naming conventions and filing practices that improve consistency across stored documentation.
• Perform quality checks on scanned and indexed files to verify completeness, readability, and correct classification.
• Coordinate the movement of documents between physical and electronic storage while protecting record integrity.
• Assist with ongoing document maintenance activities, including updates, archiving, and routine tracking of file status.• Experience handling document control responsibilities in an office, records, or administrative environment.
• Practical ability to scan, organize, and compile large volumes of documentation with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with standard document management, filing, and recordkeeping practices.
• Ability to maintain accuracy while completing repetitive processing tasks within deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple document workflows at the same time.
• Basic computer proficiency, including working with electronic files and shared folders.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to follow established handling procedures for sensitive records.
