Blood Bank Supervisor

Position Summary Monitor accurate, timely and cost effective laboratory testing of patient samples to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease by performing complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunological and microscopic tests. Position Responsibilities Provide training, check competencies, document fair and objective performance evaluation Participate in quality improvement activities Review all critical values Required Background NYSED license required/Laboratory Technologist Certification Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum of six years recent experience as a Medical Technologist; prior experience in a leadership role. Laboratory science understanding of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Banking and Microbiology.
