Job Description

Shift: Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm \nDays Off: Saturday & Sunday \n \nThe positions will support two properties in the Navy Yard Neighborhood. \n \nIdeal Candidate Profile\nGiven the level of service expected at our luxury properties, we’re looking for candidates who bring a combination of strong technical skills and a hospitality mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-end residential, multifamily, hospitality, or a similar service-oriented environment.\nWe would especially like to see candidates with:\nHands-on experience with general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general troubleshooting\nStrong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents\nA polished, professional presence and good communication skills\nA proactive approach to maintenance and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently\nExperience working in luxury residential or high-end hospitality environments is highly preferred\nFlexibility and a team-oriented attitude\nFor us, technical ability is important, but the service mindset is equally critical. These are luxury communities, so we’re looking for maintenance professionals who understand that every interaction with a resident is part of the overall customer experience.\n\nCore Responsibilities\n• \tRespond to and close out resident/staff service requests across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry\n• \tHandle advanced diagnostics and repairs beyond routine service (refrigerant systems, boiler troubleshooting, circuit-level electrical work within licensing limits)\n• \tConduct move-in/move-out inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems\n• \tMaintain common areas and amenities; ensure safety/code compliance\n• \tSupport capital projects and technology upgrades (smart thermostats, access control, leak detection)\n\nSupervisory Coverage\n• \tAct as point of contact for maintenance operations when the Supervisor or Chief Engineer is unavailable\n• \tPrioritize and assign work orders during coverage periods\n• \tGuide techs through complex or unfamiliar repairs\n• \tCommunicate with management/residents on escalated issues in the Supervisor's absence\n\nVendor & Contractor Management\n• \tCoordinate scheduling and on-site supervision for outside vendors\n• \tReview vendor work quality before sign-off; maintain service/warranty records\n• \tAssist with quotes and logistics for larger repair jobs\n\n\n\nCompensation: $66,000-68,000k. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
