DHT Group, based out of Reese, Michigan has been ensuring safety and satisfaction for over 40 years. DHT is hiring at all facilities with additional Michigan locations in Newport and Port Huron and also Bellefontaine, Ohio. DHT has several divisions including Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply.

DHT is looking for propane/butane drivers who will be responsible for loading, transporting and delivering propane and butane pressurized commodities and service our Eastern Michigan and Canada region.

This position requires a Class A CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.

Propane/butane Driver Essential Duties:

• Applies a thorough understanding of the technical concepts, practice and procedures and a general knowledge of the industry standards and government regulations related to transporting bulk petroleum products
• Complete all "pre-trip" requirements and "post-trip" requirements
• Transports loads safely and in a timely manner, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations
• Maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals
• Maintains work orders, invoices, shipping bills, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to staff
• Communicates effectively verbally and in writing at terminals and with Dispatch, Drivers, vendors, and customers
• Facilitates routine service on trucks, reports maintenance malfunctions to appropriate parties
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
• Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy

*Friday through Wednesday schedule.

Propane/butane Driver Compensation Package:

• Hourly Pay - $28-30/hr. to start based on experience
• *Up to $5000 sign on bonus for experienced drivers
• *Potential for bonus pay (holiday, safety, etc)

Requirements:

• CDLA
• X endorsement
• Acceptable MVR
• At least one year of semi- truck driving experience
• At least one- year of flammable commodity transport experience
• Ability to work OTR

Highly Preferred:

• At least two years of fuel commodity transport experience
• Ability to go to Canada

Physical requirements:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
• Must be able to pass DOT physical
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
