Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement. Demonstrated experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting assessment data. Reports To Director of Student Services Position Summary Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning. Interpret assessment results to inform the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies. Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties. Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support students with challenging behaviors. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress, discuss intervention strategies, and make recommendations for services. Consult with teachers and staff to address classroom management issues, promote positive behavior supports, and implement evidence‑based interventions. Provide staff training on topics related to mental health, behavior management, and crisis prevention. Serve as a resource to school personnel and parents on topics related to child development, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders. Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, progress notes, and counseling sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of school psychology and participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge. Collaborates and consults with educational professionals regarding the needs of students. Provides consultation to classroom teachers regarding classroom adaptations, instructional modifications, behavior modification plans, and other similar instructional interventions to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature apparent or as assigned. Environmental Conditions Classroom based with regular interaction throughout the school. Attendance at meetings and events outside regular school hours. Physical Context of the Job Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift, move and/or support up to 50 pounds. Salary and Benefits $65,000 - $95,000 Employer paid individual health insurance options.
