Role Overview

As a Vascular Ultrasound Tech, you will independently perform vascular diagnostic procedures using ultrasound and vascular physiologic testing equipment as ordered by physicians. Your work directly supports patient care by providing critical diagnostic information, ensuring accurate and timely results. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of care that Henry Ford Health is known for.

What You Will Do

• Perform vascular diagnostic procedures utilizing ultrasound and vascular physiologic testing equipment.
• Follow department protocols and established standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Exercise independent judgment and critical thinking in performing diagnostic tasks.
• Maintain equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition for each procedure.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must meet one of the following credential criteria: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT); Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
• Must be eligible to take the registry exam upon hire and obtain certification (RVT/RVS) within 12 months of hire.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR AED certification required upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in vascular ultrasound or diagnostic medical sonography.
• Familiarity with vascular physiologic testing equipment.
