Requirements:

• Valid RN license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
• Neuro experience required (neurology/neurosurgery/telemetry).
• Experience with patient ratios of 4-5 patients.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) competency preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, managing dysrhythmias as needed.
• Provide neuro stepdown care, including pre/post neurosurgery care.
• Administer care for CVA/stroke patients in a thrombectomy-capable unit.
• Manage care for patients undergoing craniotomies and those with traumatic brain/spinal cord injuries.
• Oversee procedural sedation monitoring and assist with BiPAP/CPAP and chest tube management.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 36 hours.
• 2 days of requested time off must be noted at submission.
• Candidates must not contact the facility directly unless coordinated by the Account/Placement Manager.
• Travelers refusing to float may result in termination.
