Job Description
The X-Ray Technologist will provide technical skills in the operation of radiology and fluoroscopy equipment to produce and process images of various parts of the human anatomy. These images assist the radiologist in the diagnosis of disease and injury.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting proper exposure factors and positioning patients to achieve diagnostic quality while adhering to A.L.A.R.A. guidelines.
- Operating a diverse combination of technical equipment and software.
- Preparing and administering contrast materials to patients.
- Assisting with special procedures and examinations.
- Specializing in image production of specific anatomy such as the chest, gastrointestinal tract, or orthopedics.
- Cross-training in additional modalities as per departmental policy.
