Electrical Specialist Taylor, TX, United States | req29935 What you will enjoy doing You will identify, develop, and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems across multiple facilities. Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution equipment, including substations, breakers, switchgear, MCCs, protective relays, transformers (up to 138kV), battery/UPS systems, motors (up to 45,000 hp / 15,000 volts), and backup generators (up to 1500kW). Plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities, including IR thermography, transformer oil analysis, partial discharge analysis, and power quality analysis. Analyze equipment performance data to ensure optimal reliability and efficiency. Support root cause analysis (RCA) and resolve chronic electrical equipment issues. Assist with turnaround planning, scope development, and cost estimation for electrical work. Provide technical direction to plant personnel and contractors to ensure safe and effective execution of work. Work independently to make technical decisions and provide field recommendations. Support resolution of high-impact issues with a focus on safety, reliability, and performance. Provide off‑hours support and maintain availability as required. What makes you great Minimum of more than five (5+) years of experience maintaining medium voltage (5 kV to 15 kV) electrical systems and equipment in an industrial environment. Experience in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment. Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for electrical systems. Ability to work independently and support or lead team‑based activities. Experience managing multiple tasks and delivering results with minimal supervision. Proficiency with computers and standard software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, email systems, Infor Enterprise Asset Management).
