Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Production Technicians for a leading paper manufacturing company in Becker, MN. Schedule Requirement: This position works a rotating 12-hour schedule that includes both day and night shifts. Candidates must be available and willing to work either shift, including weekends and holidays as part of the rotation.
What You’ll Do as a Production Technician:

• Inspect equipment and controls to spot issues, hazards, or needed repairs
• Clean, maintain, and repair machinery using hand tools or by submitting maintenance work orders
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks such as eyewash checks, fire extinguisher inspections, and dust bag removal
• Assist with machine threading during paper breaks
• Document shift information and communicate with supervisors and incoming operators
• Help train team members to support production, quality, and machine uptime
• Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, roll clamps, bale clamps, and skid steers
• Monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) including chemical refills, sludge removal, and filter changes
• Move and stage paper rolls using RF scanners for accurate tracking
• Operate cranes and hoists to move spools and rolls
• Prepare rolls for production and load them into the turret unwind system
• Assist with coating prep and cleanup including mixing coatings and washing totes

What You Need to Bring to the Production Technician Role:

• Must have 1–3 years of manufacturing experience in the last 5 years
• Must have the ability to work rotating 12?hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be Comfort using hand and power tools
• Mobile equipment and overhead crane certification is a plus
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
• Strong problem?solving abilities and attention to detail
