Clinical Social Worker (NS) – Child and Adolescent Unit, Central Regional Hospital The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is recruiting Clinical Social Workers for the Child and Adolescent Unit at Central Regional Hospital (CRH). The role focuses on providing clinical case management services in an inpatient psychiatric setting, with opportunities for individual, family, and group interventions. Responsibilities Provide clinical case management services to clients in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Deliver individual and family clinical interventions and psychoeducation. Facilitate group sessions as needed. Maintain documentation and compliance with state regulations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices in child psychiatric treatment. Extensive understanding of behavioral and psychosocial problems and their treatment. Knowledge of individual, family, and group dynamics. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and policies related to child psychiatric treatment. Strong rapport‑building and assessment skills for psychosocial, behavioral, and psychological client issues. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (NC SW Certification and Licensure Board). Eligibility to obtain licensure prior to beginning employment. Pay and Benefits Pay Grade: NC14 – Salary range: $52,592.00 – $92,036.00. A sign‑on bonus of $5,000 may be offered, contingent on budget approval. The position is full‑time with a standard schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., though flexibility is required to meet facility needs. Benefits include state health insurance, retirement plans, paid vacation, sick leave, community service leave, and paid parental leave. Additional Information Positions are exempt from certain provisions of the State Human Resources Act. The role requires mandatory presence during adverse weather events. Sign‑on bonus eligibility: newly hired permanent full‑time or part‑time employees must work 30–40 hours per week. Eligibility is restricted for those with recent state government or university employment and for LCSW‑A applicants.
