BAKER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Job Summary Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications. Location: USF, Tampa, 4103 USF Cedar Circle, Tampa, FL 33620. Schedule: Varies; may include weekends and holidays. Requirements: Baking experience strongly preferred. Pay Range: $18.00–$22.00 per hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries according to production and catering sheets; assist in production planning to meet daily requirements. Ensure proper food preparation by using approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and proper equipment. Complete production records, including waste tracking and product shortages; notify supervisor when supplies are low. Maintain presentation quality, portion control, and serving temperatures. Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and utensils in the work area. Handle food items appropriately and comply with safety regulations during preparation and service. Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving; keep display equipment clean. Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner; relay concerns to supervisors. Keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently. Verify that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards. Follow sanitation and safety principles, ensuring corporate and OSHA standards are met. Complete shift work as assigned in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
