Job Summary:

Henry Company, a Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies brand, is seeking an In Store Sales Representative (ISSR) to drive sales opportunities within an assigned Home Depot territory in Puerto Rico, covering the Bayamón and Caguas store locations. This role builds and maintains relationships with store decision makers, develops new pro and retail customers, and services the product line in-store; training on the product line is provided. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities and does not require travel outside the assigned territory beyond occasional conferences, sales meetings, and training. The standard schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, though hours may shift to accommodate business or weather needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Selling to contractors in the aisle and providing leads to Territory Managers; working with pro desks to prospect and close sales.
• Helping consumers with their construction projects involving roofing.
• Training store associates on Henry products through hands-on use and seasonal projects.
• Securing and building endcaps, bulkstacks, and wingstacks to promote Henry products.
• Working with the Home Depot Merchandise Execution Team (MET) to ensure product is set to plan-o-gram, with literature, headers, and price tags installed and current.
• Building relationships with key decision makers and making sales presentations to department managers, assistant managers, store managers, district managers, and regional merchants.
• Cross merchandising products throughout the store.
• Helping and selling directly to the consumer DIYer and building brand equity.
• Setting up product demonstration tables either in-aisle or in front of the store.
• Educating and promoting products to consumers, including hands-on demonstrations each workday, and explaining the benefits of project completion and use of premium products.

Education and Experience:

• Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of previous sales, retail, account management, or service-oriented experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
• Preferred:
  • Knowledge of roofing.
  • Home Depot or other big-box retail store experience.
  • Roofing experience.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily in-store, working within the aisles, pro desk, and demonstration areas of assigned Home Depot locations; some outdoor exposure when demonstrating roofing-related products.
• Fast-paced retail environment with a moderate to loud noise level.
• Frequent moving, carrying, and lifting of objects in excess of 50 pounds.
• Regular in-store discussions with customers, the management team, the pro desk, and Merchandise Execution Team (MET) employees.
• Occasional trips outside the assigned territory for conferences, sales meetings, training, and other work.

Additional Information:

This position typically operates on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule; opportunities and/or weather may require adjustments to a Monday through Friday schedule. The employee is expected to comply with all company policies, including those related to safety, data security, and confidentiality.

This is a field-based position requiring regular, in-person presence within the assigned Home Depot store locations (Bayamón, Store 6401, and Caguas, Store 6403). In-person attendance is essential for building relationships with store personnel and decision makers, training store associates, and supporting sales activity on the floor.

Periodic travel outside the assigned territory may be required for conferences, sales meetings, training sessions, or company-sponsored events, with advance notice provided. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the company's travel and expense policy.
