Psychiatrist-Adult Population

Position Full‑time on‑site opportunity in outpatient behavioral health setting. Primary location will be our Winn Way clinic; however, this role may provide services and support across all OP clinics in DeKalb County. Duties & Responsibilities The selected Psychiatrist will join an excellent team of clinical and medical staff. As an important member of this multi‑disciplinary team, they will complete psychiatric diagnostic assessments and follow‑ups and make recommendations for treatment within an evidence‑based framework. The physician demonstrates strong clinical judgment in assessment, application of diagnostic criteria, clinical formulations, and sound triage decisions. They will provide consultation regarding client care to clinical staff, actively contribute to the treatment center and organization through ongoing collaborative efforts, and serve adults only. The provider may provide services for all outpatient clinics as needed but can identify the Winn Way Clinic as the primary site. They may serve clients who are part of a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. The physician will provide administrative support to the agency in medical matters in the absence of the Medical Director and may serve as the delegating or designated physician, providing medical supervision to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Georgia Composite Medical Board and applicable Georgia Board of Nursing guidelines. Minimum Training & Experience Adult Psychiatrist. GA State Medical License and DEA. Currently Board Certified or Board Eligible. Addiction and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) experience preferred. Working Conditions Works indoors in a clinic and uses an Electronic Health Record and E‑Prescribing, as well as a telehealth application (as allowed by regulations). Sessions may be in person or via telehealth (audio/visual) as appropriate for each client. The physician may be required to physically assist clients, carry objects up to 10 pounds, and travel between clinics. Must have computer skills with ability to use an electronic health record and other applications efficiently. Ability to work from a person‑centered, recovery‑oriented, and trauma‑informed philosophy in client care. Pre‑employment drug screening may be required.
