Director of Nursing (DON) - New Philadelphia Health Care Center

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team at New Philadelphia Health Care Center in New Philadelphia, Ohio. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a positive work environment. Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assess patients' health needs and develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate staff member
• Communicate with patients and families to provide education and support
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment
• Document patients' progress and outcomes using electronic medical records
• Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in nursing
• Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve skills
• Assist with hands-on patient care as needed to support team

Requirements:

• Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Two (2) years supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
