Mountain View Community Development (MVCD) is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our team! Our mission is to empower people to leave homelessness by providing safe community, personalized case management and pathways to permanent housing. MVCD envisions a Central Oregon where homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring – where everyone finds healthy community.

Who We Are! 
Mountain View Community Development (MVCD) was formalized in 2022 as an outgrowth from Mountain View Fellowship to care for unhoused neighbors. The church began hosting a winter shelter, cooling shelter, and access to shower and laundry in partnership with local service providers. MVCD championed the ordinance allowing Safe Parking in the city of Redmond, and soon expanded from 1 location to 8 locations, serving approximately 50 people each night. Currently the organization is expanding into the City of Bend. Safe Parking exists to provide safe, legal places for people living in vehicles, connecting them with resources and housing focused case management. The organization continues to grow and consider new opportunities to serve the unhoused population in Deschutes County, including the development of a permanent supportive housing village.

What You Get to Do! 
The Executive Director (ED) oversees the mission and vision of the organization and its programs, budget and personnel. They are to provide leadership and direction to staff and ensure appropriate professional development and training. They ensure effective and professional programs with emphasis on community collaboration. They ensure highest standards of proficiency and service to partners and participants. They lead the organization in growth and expansion, including leading fundraising and donor relations. They are the primary spokesperson for the organization.
• Oversee and ensure excellence in the daily operations, programs and fundraising.
• Oversees strategic direction, planning and evaluation.
• Ensures accurate and timely accounting of all organizational resources and manages the annual budget.
• Oversees reporting to the Board of Directors and ensures alignment with organizational policies.
• Delegates strategic leadership to program directors, including the leadership and training of staff.
• Maintains positive relationships between MVCD and grantors, partners and public, in order to foster community awareness of MVCD’s programs.
• Increases resource opportunities appropriate to the mission of MVCD including building relationships with individual donors, businesses, churches and foundations and government grants to expand resources and revenue.
• Ensures that all grants meet internal standards of program efficiency, administrative accuracy, timely and accurate funding distributions, regulatory compliance and project compliance. 
• Develops policies and procedures for program success.
• Advocate at city, county, state and federal level for policy change and program partnership.
• Serve as the organization’s primary media spokesperson, representing MVCD in press, public communications, and media engagements.

What You Will Bring…
• Previous organizational leadership and planning experience including development of budget and adherence to same; evaluating and administering programs, preferably relating to transitional or homeless programs. 
• Experience managing a diverse range of funding streams including grants and individual and corporate donor relationships.
• Supervisory experience in administrative functions, supervising data collection and reporting systems; financial accounting and disbursement authorization functions. 
• Experience effectively inspiring and managing staff with a variety of skill levels, utilizing effective time management skills and contributing to community collaboration initiatives. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
• Must understand and support the faith-based founding, history and values of the organization, and its connection to the local church.
• Satisfactory criminal background check required.
• Valid driver’s license with proof of current auto insurance. 
• Ability to physically access and navigate the office and program locations
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
