Step into a meaningful role providing speech-language services to students in a supportive academic environment. This contract opportunity is based in an elementary school setting and is perfect for an experienced SLP or SLPA ready to make an impact with a diverse caseload. Begin as soon as possible, with coverage running through early December and the possibility of extension.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license in Missouri
- Previous experience working within school settings is highly desired
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a varied caseload, including students with different grade-level needs and developmental abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to classroom integration and diverse service delivery models
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to a caseload including 1st, 2nd, 5th graders, older FIT program students, a cross-category classroom, and select students from early elementary and kindergarten
- Consult with teachers and staff to support student progress and communicate strategies
- Lead an in-class language group weekly in the FIT room on Tuesdays
- Participate in school routines, such as morning car rider duty and assisting with dismissal for specific student groups
- Document therapy sessions, maintain compliance with relevant policies, and participate in virtual interviews and meetings
- Collaborate with the team to support each student’s educational and communicative goals
You’ll work a consistent full-time schedule from 8:50am to 4:25pm, providing stability and predictability as you serve students and support school staff.
