About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience required. Trauma Level I experience is required. Will accept first-time travelers with 2 or more years of ER experience. License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS BLS BSN (preferred) CPI or MAB (preferred) PALS TNCC Must-Have: Experience in a Level I Trauma Center Starting and maintaining IVs Description: This position requires 1 year of nursing experience. Candidates must have Trauma Level I experience. Previous trauma Level I experience increases success as a traveler in this role. Daily patient visits reach approximately 230. The unit admits a mix of trauma patients, including adults and pediatrics. There is a high volume of psych patients and cases involving sepsis and stroke. Travelers may care for patients with PCA pumps, but staff will manage those pumps. The unit has designated areas for patients during the pandemic. Development and completion of orientation modules are required prior to starting the role. Candidates must successfully complete all compliance items. Travelers will participate in interdisciplinary support with various healthcare services. This is a Magnet facility, ensuring a high standard of care and professional development opportunities.
