Certified Surgical Technician (CST)We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join our surgical team. The candidate will be responsible for providing support during surgical procedures and ensuring a sterile and efficient operating room environment.Position OverviewThe Certified Surgical Technician will be expected to prepare the operating room, including setting up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions. During surgical procedures, the technician will assist by passing instruments, managing surgical equipment, and maintaining the sterile field.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare the operating room and ensure all supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use.Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, fluids, and supplies during procedures.Manage the sterile field and handle specimens appropriately.Conduct counts of sponges, instruments, and supplies to prevent retained objects.QualificationsPreferred candidates should possess a CRST certification.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Experience in surgical technology with a focus on orthopedic, general, spine, vascular, urology, and obstetric procedures.Proficient in robotic surgical systems, specifically DaVinci, Mako, and Globus.Minimum of three years of experience as a surgical technologist.Additional InformationScrubs will be provided for use during shifts.Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system utilized is Cerner.The operating room features six surgical suites with a 1:1 ratio of surgical technologists to surgeons.This position is for daytime shifts, and call duty is required. The schedule includes rotating weekdays off. There will be a blackout period for time off during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. The maximum allowable time off is two weeks.Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
