Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Seeking highly experienced candidates, the remote Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will design aircraft interior and secondary structure components, utilizing Siemens NX for 3D modeling and Teamcenter for product data management, while engaging directly with customers and leading design validation efforts. Key responsibilities Design aircraft interior and secondary structure components using 2D/3D CAD, ensuring compliance with ASME standards Create and release detailed engineering drawings, procedures, and technical documentation while supporting design validation through prototyping and engineering analysis Lead end-to-end mechanical design activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturable designs that meet performance, cost, and quality requirements Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline 7-10 years of applicable experience in aircraft interior design Strong understanding of mechanical design principles for aircraft interior structures and primary/secondary airframe components Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX for 3D modeling and 2D drafting Strong working knowledge of Teamcenter for product data management, BOM creation, and revision control
