The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the flow of goods, materials, and information across our supply chain. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure that all logistics operations run smoothly, efficiently, and on time.Essential Job Functions For This Position:Weekly / daily load planning for week upcoming in Venture TMS based on customer demand.Coordination with assigned carriers for upcoming week scheduleAdjustments to published schedule based on customer changes neededCoordination with assigned carriers, suppliers and docks for schedule changesVenture TMS (ALMS and 3G) 100% up to date on carrier check callsOwnership of management of carriers keeping Venture TMS up to dateCustomer portal (as required) managementAssurance of EDI updates flowing to customer TMSIf needed, manual update of customer portalRequirementsOther Significant Job Functions Include:Management of all routes for defined customerAssurance of trucks running to scheduleAlert / communication to customers of late trucks / reason whyCustomer specific reports - ownership of reports being sent outRequests from Account Management on KPIs / data neededCoordination with AMs in preparation for customer meetingsKnowledge of KPIs to be able to speak to non-conformalitiesReceive requests from customers of expedite neededPosting of expedite needed on Venture TMSAwarding of expedite to carrierTracking (every 2 hours) sent to expedite requester until deliverRequired Education / Experience:High School Diploma or 3 years of industry experiencePreferred Education / Experience:At least 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, or any combination and experience, which would provide equivalent backgroundRequired Skills (Technical, Clerical, Language, etc.):Strong knowledge of logistics processes and transportation management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software (such as SAP, Oracle, or other industry-specific tools).Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Knowledgeable of the Transportation, Operations, and/or Logistics industryOther Information:The essential job functions and major job functions are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the job functions that an individual will be required or expected to perform.Position Descriptions may be changed or revised by the Company from time to time at its sole discretion.Benefits:Competitive PayOpportunity for career advancementGenerous Vacation / Paid Time OffPaid Holidays401K with company match from day 1Medical, Dental, VisionBasic and Supplemental Life InsuranceThis Position Description is not intended to guarantee, and does not guarantee, ongoing employment or employment for a definite term, either in this position or with the Company.
