Chipped Ham Deli is a new neighborhood deli bringing back the flavors people grew up with while adding fresh, creative twists. Our menu features specialty sandwiches, nostalgic deli favorites, homemade soups, fresh salads, beignets, and daily specials.

We are seeking experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Deli Associates who take pride in their work and enjoy creating exceptional experiences for guests.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience working in a deli, sandwich shop, café, bakery, restaurant, grocery deli, or similar food service environment
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills
• Dependable team members who arrive on time and are ready to work
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and food quality
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work well with both customers and coworkers

Responsibilities:

• Prepare specialty sandwiches, deli favorites, soups, salads, and other menu items according to company standards
• Greet and assist customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process transactions
• Slice meats, cheeses, and other deli products safely and accurately
• Maintain product freshness and food quality standards
• Stock and replenish inventory throughout the day
• Keep workstations, dining areas, and kitchen areas clean and organized
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating commercial meat and cheese slicers
• Experience preparing sandwiches and deli products
• Cash handling and POS system experience
• Food safety knowledge
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet throughout a shift
