Power And Ozone Equipment EngineerThe Power And Ozone Equipment Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality, reliability, and continuous improvement of power converters, Power Supply Units (PSUs), and ozone generation systems—both as individual components and integrated customer solutions—used in Purification & Disinfection (P&D) markets through testing, troubleshooting, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.Key Responsibilities:Process & Standards Management:Implement and maintain assembly procedures and standards for P&D power converters, PSU's, and ozone generation equipment.Establish and enforce testing policies, procedures, and standards across all P&D product linesReview and update test plans for power converter equipment, PSUs, ozone generation systems, and accessories in collaboration with the Technology teamTesting & Quality Assurance:Execute equipment testing protocols for power converters, PSUs, and ozone generation systems to support production volume requirementsUtilize electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, etc.) to conduct specialized testing to support Technology team troubleshooting and new product development initiativesProblem Resolution & Continuous Improvement:Lead root cause analysis investigations for defective P&D components and equipment failuresIdentify production risks early in the manufacturing pipelineDevelop and present recommendations for issue resolution and risk mitigation strategiesDrive innovation initiatives to enhance product quality and optimize internal processes for power conversion, power supply and ozone generation systemsCollaboration & Communication:Partner with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Technology, and Supply Quality teams to resolve technical issuesEngage with external suppliers and customers to exchange information on quality issues and best practicesDocument findings and communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiencesQualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Electronics EngineeringExperience:Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with high voltage equipment design, assembly, and testingExperience troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment, including Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)Demonstrated experience with Power Supply Unit testing, characterization, and validationExperience with equipment assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.Working knowledge of ERP systems for managing defective materials and quality documentationTechnical Skills:Proficiency with electrical testing equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power measurement devicesAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, control loop diagrams, mechanical layouts, and P&IDsFamiliarity with cloud-based troubleshooting, quality management and collaboration applicationsCore Competencies:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with systematic approach to issue resolutionExcellent prioritization skills in fast-paced manufacturing environmentsSelf-motivated with demonstrated ability to drive process improvementsEffective written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications (Assets):Advanced knowledge of power converter equipmentExperience with high-voltage systems and ozone generation technologiesKnowledge of ozone safety standards and handling proceduresExperience with root cause analysis methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA) and Lean Manufacturing principlesWorking knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systemsFamiliarity with industry safety and compliance standards (CSA, UL, IEC)Experience with SAP or similar ERP systemsProficiency in French would be an assetWorking Conditions:Manufacturing environment (8 hour working day, 5 days a week)May require occasional overtime to support production schedules or urgent troubleshootingSome international travel may be requiredAdditional Information:At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
