The role involves working in the Main ED and PBED. Candidates must be available to start as soon as possible. Time off cannot be approved from mid-June to July. Candidates should have the willingness to occasionally work varying day to mid-shift hours (i.e. 6 AM, 9 AM, 10 AM, 11 AM). The unit features a 37-bed ER with L2 Trauma capability. There are a total of 73 FTE staff members. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 2 Techs/Paramedics on day shift, and similar arrangements on the night shift. Patient ratios are 1:4 in designated zones. The unit utilizes GE monitors and EMR systems. Candidates should possess high energy, self-motivation, and an amicable personality. Typical procedures performed in the unit may include various emergency interventions. Weekend shifts are required, with 4 shifts in a 4-week period. There is no on-call requirement for this position.
