Home Manager The Home Manager leads a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide high-quality residential care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is responsible for ensuring the home always remains "Survey-Ready" by enforcing strict compliance with organizational policies, DIDD standards, and Tennessee State regulations. Key Quality Assurance (QA) & Operational Responsibilities 1. Documentation & Compliance Oversight Daily Note Review: Perform continuous oversight of all direct care documentation, including daily notes, to ensure accuracy, clinical relevance, and compliance with HIPAA and state guidelines. Monthly Audits: Verify all clothing inventories, visitor logs, and home meeting agendas once per month for total accuracy. Survey Readiness: Maintain all records and physical home environments in a state of constant audit-readiness to support successful Management and Occupancy Reviews (MOR) and HUD audits. 2. Environmental & Safety Inspections Preventive Maintenance: Conduct and document regular environmental inspections, fire drills, and disaster procedures to ensure a safe, clean, and organized home environment. Hazard Mitigation: Protect individuals from harm by identifying and resolving environmental risks immediately. 3. Staff Onboarding & Professional Development New Hire Onboarding: Lead the orientation and specific home-site training for all new Direct Support Professionals. E-Badge Program & Ongoing Training: Monitor and supervise continuous training to ensure staff maintain certifications. This includes promoting and overseeing the E-Badge program and other professional development tracks to improve team competency. Competency Verification: Document and provide all training records including therapy plans and database reporting to the Program Coordinator (PC). 4. Mandatory Coverage & Staffing Management Shift Coverage: It is mandatory for Home Managers to personally cover shifts when absences occur to ensure the safety and continuity of care. Call-out Management: Home Managers are responsible for finding adequate coverage for all staff for callouts to meet the supervision needs of individuals supported. Emergency Availability: Maintain 24/7 cell phone accessibility and provide emergency coverage at the request of management. Performance Management Provide professional, corrective, and positive feedback to staff. Administer timely disciplinary actions and complete 90, and annual performance evaluations. Conduct monthly home meetings to maintain clear communication. Requirements High School Diploma required. 2 -3 years of experience in the field 1 -2 years of supervisory experience supervising a minimum of 4 - 8 people 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office Must have a flexible schedule Must have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record acceptable to insurance carrier. Ability to pass mandatory drug screen Pass a criminal history and personal background check. Willingness to complete mandatory training provided upon employment. Requires basic language, written and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation. Ability and willingness to support individuals with challenging behaviors. Experience working with individuals who have Intellectual/developmental Disabilities preferred (but not required). Ability to be med certified within the first 90 days of employment. Must have the ability to deal tactfully with others, exercise good judgment, effectively communicate, understand and follow instructions, and express ideas in a professional manner Salary Description 18$-19$ per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr
