QC Inspector
The QC Inspector ensures that machined and fabricated components meet customer specifications and ISO quality standards. This role focuses on in-process and final inspection using precision measuring equipment, accurate interpretation of blueprints and GD&T, and thorough documentation to support a robust quality management system in a precision manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process and final inspections of machined and fabricated components to verify compliance with customer requirements and ISO standards.
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other hand tools to confirm dimensional accuracy and tolerances.
- Operate CMM equipment to inspect parts and validate complex geometries and features.
- Conduct visual inspections of components, including grinding and polishing work, to identify defects and ensure high-quality finishes.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, certifications, and quality documentation in accordance with company procedures and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Support ISO compliance activities, including internal and external audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the calibration and verification of inspection and testing equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Interpret engineering blueprints and apply GD&T requirements to inspection processes and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with production, fabrication, and machining teams to address nonconformances and support corrective actions.
- Contribute to quality assurance efforts in CNC machining, fabrication, welding, and metalworking operations.
Essential Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of manufacturing quality inspection experience.
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Basic computer skills for recording inspection data and maintaining documentation.
- Experience with quality inspection and quality control in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO compliance and ISO 9001 quality management principles.
- Experience using CMM machines and other inspection equipment (preferred).
- Experience with leak testing and quality documentation (preferred).

- Comfort working with hand tools and precision measuring instruments in a shop environment.
- Experience supporting quality assurance in low-volume, custom manufacturing settings.

Work Environment:
The role is based in an industrial manufacturing environment that supports CNC machining, metal fabrication, welding, and machine assembly. Work centers on low-volume, custom manufacturing, offering a wide variety of projects instead of repetitive production. You will regularly work around metal components, machinery, fabrication equipment, and an active shop floor. The facility includes a combination of climate-controlled areas and non-climate-controlled warehouse and manufacturing spaces. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear, to ensure a safe and professional work setting.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
