Infrastructure Manager

We're seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Manager to lead the evolution of a core infrastructure environment. This is a highly technical leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys remaining hands‑on while leading engineers, driving modernisation initiatives, and shaping infrastructure strategy. You’ll oversee critical enterprise infrastructure across both on-premises and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring platforms remain secure, resilient, and highly available while supporting business growth and regulatory requirements. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the day‑to‑day operation of enterprise infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence. Design, implement and support infrastructure solutions spanning compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery and hybrid cloud environments. Drive infrastructure transformation projects including platform upgrades, technology refreshes and modernisation initiatives. Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis and guiding remediation. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of infrastructure engineers. Manage third‑party vendors and technology partners while maintaining technical ownership of infrastructure solutions. Support infrastructure roadmap planning, technology selection and budgeting. Ensure infrastructure platforms meet security, audit and compliance standards. Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and configuration management practices. What We’re Looking For 8+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience with a strong technical background. Previous experience leading infrastructure or platform engineering teams while remaining technically hands‑on. Expertise across enterprise compute, virtualisation, storage, backup and disaster recovery technologies. Experience supporting both traditional data centre environments and hybrid cloud platforms. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex production issues. Experience delivering enterprise infrastructure upgrades and transformation programmes. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Nice to Have Experience working within highly regulated industries. Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration programmes. Familiarity with enterprise IT service management and configuration management platforms. Experience with enterprise monitoring, automation and operational tooling.
