Paid Software Engineer Intern

Job Description

Software Engineering Intern, AI Agents (Remote, Paid)

\n

Campus Collective · Part-Time · Starts Immediately

\n

\n

Campus Collective designs and manufactures custom apparel for Greek chapters, campus organizations and clubs across the country. Every order is made from scratch, from first inquiry through mockups, approval, production and delivery.

\n

\n

That process involves a lot of moving parts, and we're turning it into a system that runs itself. AI agents will handle intake, coordinate mockups and approvals, track production and keep customers updated, all across our existing software stack.

\n

\n

We're hiring engineering interns to help build it. This isn't a role writing prompts or a scoped "intern project" that ends with a slide deck. You'll design and ship the production systems that run the business, working directly with company leadership.

\n

\n

What You’ll Do

\n

\n
• Architect and build AI agents that run real workflows end to end, from a chapter’s first inquiry to the shipping update
\n
• Build the integration layer that connects agents to our stack (Shopify, Monday.com, Slack, Google Workspace and Quo) through APIs, webhooks and MCP
\n
• Rebuild our backend for reliability, observability and scale
\n
• Study how the business runs, find the highest-leverage problems and propose the systems that solve them
\n
• Own your work from first design through production
\n

\n

\n

What We’re Looking For

\n

\n
• Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
\n
• Strong in Python or TypeScript
\n
• You’ve built and shipped something real, whether a side project, hackathon entry, open-source contribution or startup
\n
• You use AI coding tools every day and can explain and debug every line you ship
\n

\n

\n

Bonus Points

\n

\n
• Hands-on experience with LLM tool use, agent loops, multi-agent orchestration or RAG
\n
• Experience with MCP, the Claude or OpenAI APIs, or agent frameworks
\n
• Experience with Postgres or another relational database, and with cloud deployment
\n

\n

\n

Who Should Not Apply

\n

\n
• You want a structured program with a predefined project. Here, you’ll define the project.
\n
• You need step-by-step instructions. We’ll give you context and a goal, and you’ll figure out the path.
\n

\n \n

Details

\n

\n
• Compensation: Paid hourly, competitive and based on experience
\n
• Location: Fully remote
\n
• Schedule: 10–20 hours/week, flexible around coursework
\n
• Duration: 8 weeks, with potential to extend
\n
• Start: Immediately
\n

\n \n

How to Apply

\n

Send your resume and a link to the best thing you’ve built (a GitHub repo, live project or demo) to View email address on ziprecruiter.com . In two or three sentences, tell us what it does and the hardest problem you solved building it. We review applications on a rolling basis and move fast.
