8th Grade Volleyball Head Coach
Job Description
We are looking for someone that has leadership abilities and is willing to work with the philosophy of the volleyball program.
Reports to
● Varsity Girls’ Head Coach
● Director of Athletics with input from Assistant Director of Athletics
Responsibilities
● Regular communication with the Varsity Head Coach, participating athletes and families
● Student Mentoring: spiritual development and athletic skill development
● Conduct organized, structured practices with practice plans
● Program Organization: roster, uniform and equipment inventory, organize practice instruction,
supervision of athletes, etc.
● Program Growth: Interaction with younger program coaches to help set the philosophy of the
school
● Coaching Administration: pre- and post-season meetings with the Varsity Head Coach, parent
meeting, CPR certified, MHSAA Online Coaches Meeting, MHSAA CAP Meeting
● MIVCA Membership
● Attend professional development for self-improvement
Minimum Qualifications
● High School diploma
● Volleyball coaching experience
● Must be organized and able to work independently with professional attention to detail.
● Support the mission, philosophy, statement of faith, and core values of Oakland Christian
School.
● Give testimony regarding your faith in Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian bible-based local church.
