Job Description

Position Overview\n

Coastline Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a remote, full-time capacity. This role is crucial for providing psycho-social support to clients grappling with mental health challenges in an outpatient setting. Our LCSW will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring that our clients receive holistic support tailored to their unique needs.

About the Organization\n

At Coastline Health System, we are driven by a mission to foster healthier communities by delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services, especially in medically underserved areas. We pride ourselves on our commitment to inclusivity and equitable care, championing the belief that everyone deserves access to mental health support, regardless of their financial circumstances. Our vision serves not only the geographical community of Oceanside, California, but also sets an example to inspire similar organizations across the country.

Work Environment\n

This LCSW position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining the opportunity to connect with clients and colleagues in meaningful ways. You will be afforded the ability to maintain a suitable work-life balance, as our team operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, and values the well-being of our staff just as much as that of our patients. The role involves interaction with a culturally diverse client population, facilitating dynamic conversations and fostering growth in understanding various socio-economic backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Provide direct clinical services to clients exhibiting symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices for assessment and treatment.
  • \n
  • Conduct thorough client assessments, focusing on risk factors and crisis management tailored to individual cases.
  • \n
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement integrated care plans that achieve common goals and respect the diverse needs of our clients.
  • \n
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, aiming to empower clients towards recovery and sustaining mental wellness.
  • \n
  • Engage in proactive crisis intervention, ensuring timely support while navigating potentially challenging emotional landscapes of clients.
  • \n
  • Monitor client progress, adhere to best practices in case management, and prepare comprehensive reports to track outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • \n
  • Participate in organizational committees focused on quality improvement initiatives, further contributing to enhancing agency service delivery.
  • \n
  • Provide suitable on-call coverage as necessary, ensuring that our clients’ needs are met outside regular hours.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is designed for those who are genuinely motivated to work with a diverse group of clients, including individuals from varying ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. Your efforts will directly influence the mental health trajectories of clients within our outpatient services, many of whom encounter obstacles in accessing traditional mental health resources. By integrating services and providing personalized support, the LCSW will cultivate a pathway for clients toward recovery and enhanced quality of life.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field is required.
  • \n
  • Avalid LCSW license in the state of California is mandatory for this role.
  • \n
  • You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating a professional rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • \n
  • Proven organizational and planning skills are essential to manage various client caseloads effectively.
  • \n
  • Clinical expertise in risk assessment, crisis management, and evidence-based treatment modalities is expected.
  • \n
  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.
  • \n
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a considerable asset to effectively reach our diverse client base.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, we are particularly interested in candidates who have prior experience working in outpatient settings and a demonstrated commitment to advocating for underserved populations. Experience with specific age-related issues related to mental health—from children and adolescents to adults—is a distinct advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, Coastline Health System offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes robust health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a company match, generous paid time off (PTO), and life insurance. Excitingly, a sign-on bonus is currently available for new hires.

Career Growth Opportunities\n

At Coastline Health System, we are dedicated to supporting the professional development of our staff. Our LCSWs are encouraged to pursue continuing education in their areas of interest and specialization. We believe that fostering growth within our teams enhances the quality of our service delivery and enriches our organizational culture. Opportunities for advancement within the organization are made available to those who demonstrate leadership and initiative.
