Position Summary: Press Operator: Utilizes injection molding machines in the AdvantaFlex mold shop in order to fulfill daily production requirements as instructed by the Production Supervisor.

- Sets up, operates, and shuts down multiple injection molding machines in an ISO class VII cleanroom environment.
- Inspects molds and tooling for wear and damage.
- Inspects molded parts to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Properly labels parts for further downstream manufacturing operations.
- Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions.
- Uses controlled drawings and assembly instructions to manufacture quality products.
- Accurately records batch and production information for each order.
- Records run times and tracks daily output.
- Performs housekeeping tasks to maintain the integrity of the cleanroom environment.
- Ability to measure length with a tape measure.
- Understand tolerances and how to apply them to measurements.
- Apply skills to solve problems in the manufacturing process.
- Show initiative, is punctual and dependable.
- Must be able to work up to a 12-hour shift
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
- Experience with running injection molding machines preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions, standard manufacturing procedures, drawings and production manuals.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with fellow employees.
- Basic math skills required, ability to work with fractions and decimals.
- Must be able to measure effectively utilizing measuring tools.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
- Ability to interpret drawings.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel: reach with hands and arms; and talk/hear.
- The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk.
- The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
