Job Location Physicians - Vision Associates - Toledo Department Eye Surgery Center Work Hours & Shift Weekly Hours: 40 | Status: Full time | Shift: Days (United States of America) Sign-On Bonus $7,500 for external applicants. Job Summary As a Surgical Technician, you use your knowledge of anatomy, patient needs and departmental procedures to prepare for and manage surgical cases at ProMedica. You will ensure sterile field integrity by using aseptic techniques and addressing any breaks in sterile technique quickly. Teamwork is key in this role as you work with the circulating nurse to keep an accurate count of sponges, instruments, and sharps in accordance with department guidelines. Requirements Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be a graduate of a Surgical Technology program. Certification: CPR required. Preferred Requirements Prior experience in a surgical setting preferred. Preferred Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) or certification from NCCT.
