Chief People Officer

Our client is seeking a Chief People Officer to help lead the next stage of growth for a highly respected, service‑driven organization with a premium brand, a strong culture, and significant momentum. This is a rare opportunity for an executive HR leader who can operate as both a strategic business partner and a hands‑on builder. The right person will help scale the organization thoughtfully by strengthening the people infrastructure, elevating talent strategy, improving leadership development, building stronger recruiting and onboarding programs, and bringing greater structure to HR operations, compliance, governance, and workforce planning.
This is not a maintenance HR role. It is a chance to shape how a growing organization attracts, develops, retains, and leads its people while preserving the high standards, personal service, and culture that have made the company successful.
Location and Compensation
- Location: Irvine, CA
- Compensation: The base salary for this role is expected to be about $300-350k annually plus bonus/benefits

What You’ll Do
- Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership on organizational design, talent strategy, workforce planning, and business growth.
- Build and modernize scalable HR programs across talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, career pathing, leadership development, and employee engagement.
- Strengthen the recruiting engine by improving hiring speed, quality of hire, employer brand, and proactive talent pipelines.
- Lead people operations, HR compliance, corporate governance, policy modernization, risk mitigation, and related legal/vendor coordination.
- Preserve and scale a high‑touch, service‑driven culture while creating structure, accountability, and consistency across a distributed workforce.
What Gets You the Job
- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience scaling organizations of 500+ employees.
- Proven ability to operate as both a strategic executive advisor and a hands‑on HR leader across people strategy, compliance, employee relations, and talent programs.
- Experience in a multi‑site, high‑touch service environment such as luxury, hospitality, travel, retail, or a similarly customer‑focused business.
- Strong background building scalable recruiting, learning and development, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement programs.
- Strong executive presence, discretion, and communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive people, culture, compliance, and leadership issues with sound judgment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in HR, MBA, or JD strongly preferred.
