HVAC Technician

Job Description The HVAC Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility HVAC equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Diagnoses problems and repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pool, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structural, and appliance areas. Ensures that work order requests are responded to promptly and professionally. Ensures residential units are turned in a timely and efficient manner and determines if work has been completed properly. Provides excellent customer service to prospective and current tenants, and promotes a quality living experience for all residents. Provides on‑call service when scheduled and performs emergency maintenance work when required. Inspects buildings and grounds to ensure safety and cleanliness, and alerts Maintenance to items that need to be repaired. Assists supervisor with scheduling and communicating with vendors and contractors. Assists supervisor with obtaining bids from outside contractors and oversees contractor work for completeness. Assists with purchasing maintenance supplies for the property while staying within the planned budget. Accurately prepares and submits property invoices in accordance with established guidelines. Communicates with supervisor regarding the overall maintenance function of the property. Participates in company‑provided training such as fair housing, safety, non‑discrimination, and harassment prevention. Complies with all Company National Standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, and applicable local, state, and federal laws. What You Bring High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience. Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance (a plus). Four or more years of manufacturing experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills, some PLC experience, HVAC; vacuum furnace experience preferred. HVAC Universal certification (a must). Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
