Your Role in the Build:
- Process and manage in-house payroll across multiple entities
- Utilize Sage 300 (required) for payroll processing and reporting
- Process and maintain certified payroll and ensure compliance requirements are met
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements and federal/state payroll regulations
- Prepare and submit DIR reporting
- Prepare and post payroll journal entries
- Reconcile payroll liabilities and maintain payroll-related records
- Support payroll tax compliance including federal and state requirements
- Assist with accounts payable functions as needed
- Perform job costing activities and ensure payroll costs are allocated accurately
- Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, and adjustments
- Partner with accounting and operations teams to support audits and reporting requests
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality across all payroll processes
What You Bring to the Build:
- 3-5+ years of payroll experience, preferably within construction
- Strong experience with Sage 300 (required)
- Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage environments
- Experience with DIR reporting
- Understanding of payroll taxes, federal/state compliance, and payroll regulations
- Experience preparing journal ent ries and supporting payroll reconciliations
- Experience with job costing
- Exposure to accounts payable functions preferred
- Strong Excel skills including lookups, reporting, and data analysis
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
