Plainfield Dental Practice, P.C. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our busy, doctor-owned, family-oriented practice in Plainfield, IL. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, performing thorough cleanings and examinations, and expertly educating a diverse patient population, including children, on optimal oral hygiene.

Requirements

Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Knowledge: Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology.
Skills: Strong patient care skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including children.
Compliance: Thorough knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Job Description

Clinical Examinations: Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health and perform patient charting.
Patient Education: Expertly educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits, communicating effectively with diverse populations, including children in pediatric dentistry.
Infection Control: Apply and adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control standards to ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients, including assisting in the preparation of treatment rooms.
Diagnostic Support: Perform medical imaging procedures (Operating medical imaging equipment/Dental X-ray) as needed to support diagnostic assessments.
Records Management: Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care activities and clinical data in compliance with regulations (Electronic health records (EHR) management).
Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the dental team to develop individualized care plans and contribute to a positive team-oriented environment.

Operating Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Typical Hours:
Monday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Weekends: Sundays off.
