Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt (hourly)
Compensation: Starting at $21.00 per hour, compensation commensurate with experience .
Schedule: 40 hours per week; 8:00AM - 4:15PM Monday - Friday and alternating Saturdays required

This position requires working on-site at our Webster, Texas facility. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available. Applicants must be able to report to this location for their scheduled shifts.

Starting pay within the advertised range is based on relevant experience, demonstrated skills, portfolio quality, and leadership qualifications.

The Bio Dude is seeking a Social Media and Marketing Lead to guide our digital marketing strategy, strengthen our brand, and connect with a passionate community of reptile enthusiasts. This role combines creative direction, content production, campaign management, and team leadership.

You will oversee marketing activities, lead a Marketing Specialist, and work closely with our operations teams to create engaging content grounded in our products, animals, and customer experience. You will report to the Director of Operations.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute social media and digital marketing strategies that build brand awareness, increase engagement, and support revenue growth.
• Manage the content calendar, establish priorities, and maintain a consistent posting schedule.
• Lead the creation of graphics, photography, and short- and long-form video content.
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across digital platforms and promotional materials.
• Manage YouTube content strategy, including search engine optimization, channel development, and audience engagement.
• Plan, execute, monitor, and optimize paid advertising campaigns.
• Use analytics and A/B testing to evaluate performance, improve campaigns, and guide marketing decisions.
• Provide daily direction, coaching, and feedback to the Marketing Specialist.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Inventory, Animal Operations, Manufacturing, and Customer Care to support campaigns and business priorities.
• Recommend improvements to marketing workflows, tools, and processes.

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in digital marketing or social media management.
• Experience editing photography and producing both short- and long-form video content.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Canva.
• Strong writing, organization, communication, and project management skills.
• The ability to balance creative work with performance analysis and business goals.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Shopify, and related business systems, including SKULabs, Nextiva, timekeeping software, and point-of-sale systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring others.
• An interest in reptiles, animal care, and the communities our products serve.

Work Environment

This position works on-site in office, warehouse, and retail settings. Duties include standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and crouching for photography and filming, and lifting or carrying camera equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
