Full-Time Billing Specialist

Paschall Truck Lines is a 100% employee‑owned company. We were founded in 1937 right here in Murray, KY! We are looking for a full‑time Billing Specialist to support our team. Reports to: Pricing & Billing Manager Summary: Provides business support by processing pricing documentation, maintains pricing tables and ensures proper rates are billed. Ensures proper billing and resolves short pays. Reviews customer contracts with intent to protect the company's interest. Negotiates contract language to minimize company’s risk with customers and potential customers. Working with customers to ensure they have documentation needed regarding our insurance coverage, certifications, etc. Major Duties Reviewing and negotiating all customer contracts. Customer contract compliance and resolution tracking. Processing contracts, pending through execution. Lead person for processing bids. Working with Sales in producing pricing proposals. Publishing rates. Uploading pricing into the rating program. Billing loads with proper rates/accessorial charges. Investigate and resolve short pays – process revenue adjustments timely. Attend onboarding calls with salesperson and other departments to ensure a smooth start up for new customers. Process overcharge claims. Prepare held bill list to bring focus on aging unbilled orders. Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management. Job Requirements / Work Area Conditions Educational/Experience Two years related experience with no college, or one year with some college, or zero if have a college degree. Prefer BS, Business with an area in finance/accounting. Physical Continuous sitting, repetitive keyboard movements, telephone communications in a fast‑paced environment. Special Skills Keyboarding, computer operation and both verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Excel. Analytical ability. Organized and Detail Oriented. Examples of proficient manipulation of data are skill in computation using decimals; skill in editing for transposed numbers, etc. Transportation: Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits. Clerical: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Microsoft products, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
